The Other Modern Movement offers a counterpoint to today’s aestheticisation of gratuitous form by critically examining how programmatically-inflected typology and textured tectonic expression can foster formal diversity that still embodies design integrity. The volume examines work that while belonging to the Modern Movement, also occupied a parallel course to the more widely recognized proponents of that movement. Previously published in Italian by the Mendrisio Press, an English version will be released in Fall 2020.
